With the support of Berlin-based Capital BAY GmbH as transaction manager for small-volume residential property acquisitions, Deutsche Wohnen SE has acquired several residential complexes in Dresden and Mannheim. The apartment blocks, some of which are listed and have been renovated, are located in good residential areas and were acquired in several transactions. The purchase price of all the properties amounts to a low double-digit million euro sum.
Since March 2017, Capital BAY has been supporting Deutsche Wohnen in transaction management for the purchase of properties and small residential portfolios worth up to EUR 15 million in the core regions of the residential property company. "Capital BAY identifies for us portfolio properties that are easy to manage, have a stable cash flow and a low maintenance backlog," explains Falk Laloi, Managing Director of Deutsche Wohnen Corporate Real Estate GmbH and therefore responsible for acquisitions and sales at the Deutsche Wohnen Group. "Capital BAY thus opens up new groups of sellers for us and perfectly complements our acquisition strategy focussed on core properties."
