Capital Bay wants to multiply its operator real estate business in Europe. \"Our goal is to have up to 15 brands and over 100,000 units in the next ten years,\" announces the company's CEO George Salden in conversation with Thomas Daily<\/a> an.
He envisages around 60% for Germany - albeit with the proviso that furnished accommodation remains exempt from rent regulation. The Berlin-based company currently has nine Operator brands <\/a>with 10,000 units in student, micro-apartment and senior housing complexes as well as boarding houses and care homes. A large proportion of the planned residential complexes are to be newly built. Capital Bay has high hopes for its recently announced partnership with the modular construction manufacturer Daiwa House<\/a>. The planned joint \"Gigafactory\" will produce 50,000 residential units per year. Capital Bay received a \u20ac1 billion mandate from the Swiss Prime Anlagestiftung<\/a> for its expansion plans.
