Sustainable and efficient construction: Oder-Spree district learns about modular construction in Fürstenwalde
How can construction times be shortened, resources saved and sustainable living space created at the same time? These questions were the focus of District Administrator Frank Steffen's visit to Daiwa House Modular Europe in Fürstenwalde. Together with Capital Bay, the holistic asset and investment manager, the forward-looking modular construction was presented.
Thanks to a high degree of prefabrication, buildings can be erected in a very short time - up to 50% faster than with conventional construction methods. At the same time, modular concepts enable a significant reduction in the carbon footprint. District Administrator Steffen sees great potential for the Oder-Spree region, particularly in the area of affordable housing.
